How to Choose a Colon Cleanser

Colon cleansing supplements, such as colosan, are some of the most popular products within the alternative health supplement market.
They're used to combat a wide range of symptoms, all of which people consider as linked to a sluggish and slow colon.

In fact, colon cleansing is so popular, that there are special health spas that offer treatments such as enemas and colonic irrigation. In the ‘90s, these people considered them as somewhat faddy, but they continue today and, for many, represent a real and reliable health-promoting treatment.

Why do people take colon cleansers? There are many reasons, but generally, people choose to clean the colon for the reasons listed below:

·         To remove compacted faecal matter
·         To help balance the digestive system
·         To remove toxins
·         To increase energy levels
·         To relieve the symptoms of IBS
·         To lose weight

OK, so the fact that they're popular shows that they must have some beneficial effects, but that leads us to a problem: not all colon cleansers are created equal, so how do you choose one that works.

Here are our tips:

1.       Decide whether you want to take a supplement, such as colosan, or you want a course of treatment, such as colonic irrigation.

2.       Research the market and see which supplement/procedure/spa is popular and sells well.

3.       For physical treatments, you will have to go there and try it out. For supplements, when you find a popular supplement, read up on the reviews. You must read a mixture of bad and good review. Recent statistics show that up to 50% of reviews are fabricated, so do try to find an impartial site, and when you do, be sure to read both the positive and negative reviews.

4.       Once you’ve found a product, buy the smallest pot/jar that you can, so that you can test the product at home. Start by taking a very small dose to make sure that you're not allergic to any of the ingredients. Wait a few days then try a larger dose, but don’t take the full dose yet. Wait another few days and if you feel fine, continue to take the required dosage. You might have to try this for several weeks. If you don’t feel any positive effects, then try swapping supplements and starting the process again. Keep doing this until you find the supplement that works best for you.
