Being Candid About Candida

An outbreak of candida can reveal itself in many places and it can also be hidden and therefore much more difficult to diagnose.

For an example, it could just cause dizziness, anxiety or any number of related emotional stress problems. This is why even health professionals can frequently get it wrong.

Candida is just one of the hundreds of microflora that live mostly in our gut. Bacteria gets to work on the food we eat as soon as it arrives in the mouth and continues to breakdown food especially in the small intestine.

An outbreak of candida almost certainly has something to do with dietary problems and in particular too much sugar or carbohydrates over a long period of time.

It can appear anywhere including the throat and sexual organs and for this reason it is often a cause of some embarrassment. In fact it rarely has anything to do with sex.

Treatment for candida can vary depending very much on what part of the body it reveals itself and there are as many conventional medicines as there are supplement suggestions. Whatever treatment is used it is important to adjust your diet and cut out sugar and most carbohydrates.

Many people swear by supplements such as Threelac and Fivelac but it’s always wise to see your GP first to try and be sure that you are properly diagnosed no matter how hard that may be,
Diet plays a very important part in the recovery of candida and it is often many weeks before it will completely disappear. Probiotics are also recommended with Kefir being one of the most often recommended.

A healthy gut is essential to good health and yet we are all guilty of slipping into lazy habits with fast foods and products that are over-refined and loaded with salt or sugar.

When you have struggled to get rid of candida by whatever means you choose then it will help to look at your diet and make some adjustments for a healthier lifestyle.
